Benefits
- Slider-based hue shifting provides an enjoyable, effortless way to create visually striking color combinations like complementary, triadic, and more!
- Single DCTL design facilitates intricate workflows as well as fixed node structures. No need to juggle with multiple DCTLs or OFX plug-ins.
- The density sliders reduces luminance and increases saturation to maintain a deep, vibrant palette and produce a “film-style” look and feel. A feature of our Film Lab PowerGrades, the PixelTools hueShift DCTL Plug-In allows for more individualized control of density and intensity for each color: red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow.
System Requirements
- MacOS and Windows: Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Studio 18+ (Free version not supported, Studio version required)
NOTE: This Product Requires DaVinci Resolve Studio (DCTLs do not work on the free version)
Really awesome tool, currently using it on a project and been loving it. Only note would be it seems designed and works best for dwg, but working in camera log rather than dwg, it doesn't seem to have as clean of an effect, so I’ve been sandwiching it with csts to keep working in logc4 space over DWG. Would love the ability to set the space on the dctl so I don’t need to do the csts on the front and back.
Where do I start? This DCTL alone took my grading game to a different level.
It not only allows you to work on different color models with the change of a slider but the ease of having HSV/HSL values at the tip of your fingers is invaluable.
Hues shifts are now cleaner than with any other built-in tool in Davinci and makes me way faster as a colorist.
I use it for Look Development and also at a clip level for slight disparities between clips.
Hat off to Jason and team on this one.
Oh and the splitTone and Exposure ones are also wicked!!!
I was introduced to this nifty tool by a colorist friend and wow does it make a difference.
Love the control it gives you, very intuitive
Best DCTL to control hue/Sat/Density of all six vectors at one single place without much pixel breakage while able to shape the desired look. Must have tool for resolve.
