from 96 reviewsThe PowerGrades have been helpful as I’ve switched to Resolve from Premiere. Gives me a good understanding of how to grade. Really like the Film PowerGrade a lot.
Using the Exposure Tool has not only helped me improve my workflow, but has also allowed me to achieve excellent color grading results in a faster and more efficient manner. 100% Recommended
These tools work really great as they save time and produce great results.
PixelTools product range is just that. A true time saver for my workflow, and at affordable prices. They're well constructed tools inside DaVinci Resolve and i am very impressed with my purchase so far. I love how clean they feel.
I bought these powergrades to see how fast my workflow would change and it was a success! I was able to creat color grades and looks much quicker and efficiently, spending less time creating node trees and more time being creative! I really enjoyed this product.
This is so much better than the limitations inherent with the HDR Exposure dial on my panel. Having access to exposure level, fill exposure, fill roll-off, and being able to see the fill curve is a great addition. Another thing that speeds things up are the PowerGrades that you can pull over with various preset stops +/-. With Live Preview engaged, you can roll across the Powergrades and find a nice starting point. It might be nice to have .25 +/- stops in the future, but that would be my only suggestion, and you can make a .25 stop version yourself in seconds. It’s now in my standard node tree. Nice work, PT.
Briefly, I’m a fan of grading products because of: how great they look right out of the box (and able to solve more complex problems that I would have expected), how easy they are to tune, and how much I can learn from using them as starting points. Many thanks for the great tools!
Useful powergrades can help cut hours of your color session time. PixelTools are a standard part of my Resolve system, and they help give you a great finishing touch on any project.

PixelTools Vol. 1 PowerGrade Collection seems pretty nice so far. looks like it can be a great time saver and can speed up my workflow. It also looks like a great way to understand resolve node structure. I also appreciate pixeltools for offering a complimentary license to their Light Shaping PowerGrade Collection for exchange of this review. Thank you.
Finally got into more advanced grading with Resolve, PixelTools PowerGrades looked ideal to get me started, and the installation tutorial was easy to follow. So far I'm not disappointed with the results, will look to add more from PixelTools as I get more experienced
When I need to adjust the lighting, the Light Shaping Collection is a very quick and easy way to get there without much fuss. I take a vignette, a gradient that suits my idea, drag it onto my clip and change the slider settings as I need it. In a simple, intuitive way. A kind of "Swiss Army Knife" for the lighting ;-) I don't want to be without it anymore.
After testing on a few jobs, I’ve made the PixelTools Exposure DCTL part of my regular pipeline. Sure, you can definitely use tools within Resolve for this task - and they work perfectly fine - however, this is super quick to reach and I love the ability to set the correct working space and dial in the right fill and roll off. Wonderful results, wonderful tool.
I love this new tool. To be able to adjust the exposure, photometrically is awesome. I’ve added it to my fixed node tree and the integration with my Resolve Mini panel is timesaver!
I just used this on a grade where I ended up actually pulling the fill slider DOWN for a very rich look on a live performance project. This software is a real time saver; beats the **** out of juggling blacks vs shadows in HDR tools. Well done!
