A MUST in my workflow
I’ve been using Filmic/Contrast on all my projects for the past few months. The visualization it gives you in adjusting your curve, along with all the tools and tips for improving your skillset, is invaluable. It’s helping guide me to understand what I’m doing and why it’s affecting things, rather than haphazardly adjusting sliders.

Fantastic, clear and beautiful contrast tool
I’ve used many different methods for contrast in Resolve, and this is my favorite by far. Precise, intuitive and filmic. Couldn’t recommend it more!

PixelTools did it again!
The Filmic/Contrast DCTL is an intuitive tool that I am incorporating permanently into my node tree. Once you learn its proper use (it’s quite easy), your results are as expected. In addition, it is flexible enough to help unleash your creativity.

Fantastic
I’ve been using it a lot to shape my contrast curve. I love the fill depth and depth ratio in particular. It makes me happy, which is nice.
Craft your contrast separately from saturation
Luma 🔆 or chroma 🎨
With our Saturation Mix and Preserve Saturation options, you’re in complete control of how your custom contrast curve impacts saturation. Fine-tune it with the Sat Mix slider, or enable Preserve Sat to remove it entirely — ideal for creating the base of an ENR bleach bypass look.

Preserve Sat ✅ = No Saturation Increase with Contrast

Preserve Sat ⛔️ = Saturation Increases with Contrast
