PixelTools Essentials Bundle

“I bought these for the purpose of having node trees I could study and reverse engineer to improve my own color grading practice. It also turned out they were valuable tools for helping me deliver great work to my clients!”

The Starter Bundle is the easiest way into the PixelTools ecosystem. At its core is Prime/Grade, our all-in-one primary DCTL, joined by the Basic versions of Hue/Shift and Split/Tone for more targeted color and split-toning work. Film/Emulsion Basic rounds out the grading tools by providing a realistic film emulation pipeline, and the Fixed Node Tree Collection ties everything together with PowerGrade templates for building consistent, structured node trees from the start.

It's a working foundation for a great finishing workflow, covering the moves you reach for on almost every project: setting exposure and contrast, shaping hue and saturation, introducing tonal character, and organizing your grade with intent. Like the rest of the PixelTools lineup, each tool is built around predictable, controllable behavior rather than baked-in results, so the bundle keeps pace with you as your grading develops and evolves.

A practical starting point for colorists new to PixelTools, bundled at 28% off the individual product prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the PixelTools Essentials Bundle?

The Essentials Bundle is the easiest way into the PixelTools ecosystem. It pairs Prime/Grade™, our all-in-one primary DCTL, with the Basic versions of Hue/Shift™ and Split/Tone™ for targeted color and split-toning, Film/Emulsion™ Basic for a realistic film-emulation pipeline, and the Fixed Node Tree Collection of PowerGrade templates for building consistent node trees. Together they cover the moves you reach for on almost every project.

Do I need DaVinci Resolve Studio, or does the free version work?

You need DaVinci Resolve Studio. The Essentials Bundle is built around DCTL plug-ins, and DCTLs load only in Resolve Studio, so the free edition can't run them. Studio is a one-time purchase from Blackmagic and is required for this bundle.

Which Resolve versions and platforms are supported?

The Essentials Bundle requires DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 or later on macOS and Windows. Each plug-in installs by dropping its file into your Resolve LUT folder, and the Fixed Node Tree PowerGrades install from the included Resolve project.

What are the "Basic" versions of Hue/Shift™ and Split/Tone™?

The Basic versions give you the core color and split-toning controls of each plug-in at an entry price, so you can start grading with them right away. If you later want the full feature set, contact us about upgrading to the complete Hue/Shift™ or Split/Tone™.

Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?

One-time payment. No Hassle Licensing — One-Time Payment, No Subscription, Free Updates. You own every tool in the bundle and receive future updates to them at no extra cost.

How do I install everything?

You get an instant download after purchase with each plug-in's DCTLe file (plus alternate "No Icon" files for control-panel users) and the Fixed Node Tree Resolve project. Drop the plug-in files into your Resolve LUT folder and open the included project to load the PowerGrades. A guide is included.
