Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the Vol. 1 PowerGrade Collection?

Vol. 1 is our most recommended PowerGrade starter kit for DaVinci Resolve. It includes 115 PowerGrade .drx files with over 110 ready-to-use presets, a DaVinci Resolve project that installs them for you, 50 3D LUTs for on-camera use, and a user guide. The looks cover classic film and photochemical styles like 2 Strip, 3 Strip, Cross Process, Teal and Orange, Black and White, and Kodak-inspired grades, so you can drop a starting point onto almost any project.

Do I need DaVinci Resolve Studio, or does the free version work?

The free version of DaVinci Resolve works. PowerGrades are Resolve grades, not plug-ins, so they load in both the free edition and Resolve Studio. You don't need to buy Studio to use Vol. 1. If you can open Resolve, you can use these looks.

Which Resolve versions and platforms are supported?

Vol. 1 supports DaVinci Resolve 18.6 and later on macOS and Windows, and the latest DaVinci Resolve for iPad. The included Resolve project installs all 115 PowerGrades into your gallery in one step.

Is Vol. 1 good for beginners?

Yes. Vol. 1 works as a starting point: you apply a PowerGrade to a clip, then adjust to taste, which is one of the fastest ways to learn how professional looks are built. Each grade is a full node tree you can open and study, so it doubles as a reference while you grade.

Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?

One-time payment. No Hassle Licensing — One-Time Payment, No Subscription, Free Updates. You own the collection outright and get future updates to it at no additional cost.

How do I install the PowerGrades?

After purchase you get an instant download with the .drx files, the installer project, the LUTs, and the guide. Open the included DaVinci Resolve project and the PowerGrades load straight into your gallery, ready to drag onto any clip. You can also load the 3D LUTs on set in supported cameras.
